I love keeping up with these cute conversations. I almost posted to my blog last night in honor of them. They are so life affirming and I need that - here's why....
Dinner Conversations with my Father-in-Law - dealing with Alzheimer's - by Sisyphesse
FIL: What should we do with the dead man over there? I mean how do we know he's really even dead?
Sisyphesse: Well, I called the police, so I'm not worried. They will get to the bottom of the whole matter.
FIL - but how will we know whether he died?
Sisyphesse - They will send in an expert. I told them that we have a guy here who seems to be dead.
FIL - Oh, good. Is there more bread?
Sisyphesse - Sure. Butter?
FIL - No. Thanks. But what will we do with that man? How will we know he's dead?
Sisypesse - The police and medical examiner took him out of here. I'm sure they will figure it out.
FIL - But what will happen to his body after that?
Sisyphesse - That's not up to us. More salad?
FIL - Sure. I could have more of that.
...additional salad served...
Sisyphesse - I'm glad you like the salad. Your wife and I made it together.
